In heart of Beaune, a town with a great historical and artistic heritage, Le Bénaton gastronomic restaurant, awarded one Michelin star, is the perfect place to take the perfect meal. In the kitchen, the chef, Bruno Monnoir, elegantly produces a cuisine that is creative, chic and sober, in harmony with his establishment, while in the restaurant his wife Isabelle provides ideal service with her team.
With its warm colours, open-stonework and a small garden with courtyard, Le Bénaton is fond of playing with materials. The à la carte menu is inspired by the neighbouring Burgundy vineyards. The fine wines from these vineyards feature prominently on the wine menu.
After receiving two “couverts” from the Michelin guide and a “Clé d’Or” from the prestigious Gault et Millaut in 1998, Le Bénaton gastronomic restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2006.
The Champérard guide states that Bruno Monnoir’s Michelin-starred cuisine is the “fruit of impeccable discipline, the rigours of which are overcome every time, and transformed into creativity”.
The Guide du Routard also hails the gastronomic merits of Le Bénaton for its “Morning Market” menu of irreproachable quality.
In 2011, Bruno MONNOIR was awarded 3 “toques” in the Gault et Millau.
